The “Brady Bunch” house in Studio City, Calif., is back on the market after a full renovation complete with interiors that recreate the 1970s sitcoms set.
Home improvement network HGTV purchased the famous house in 2018 for $3.5 million. The network set out to completely renovate the property with the help of “Brady Bunch” cast members including Maureen McCormick, who portrayed the familys eldest daughter, Marcia Brady. Its now on the market for $5.5 million.
“The Brady Bunch” aired on ABC from 1969 to 1974, and the house at 11222 Dilling Street appeared in establishing shots of the family home. The network gutted the homes interiors and added a second story in order to fit all the rooms that previously only existed on a sound stage at Paramount Studios.
Photos show the new interiors, including the iconic stonework in the living room, a floating staircase, and a kitchen complete with orange Formica countertops and an avocado-green refrigerator.
The homes previous owners held onto it for 45 years, after buying it in 1973. They were asking $1.85 million, but an unexpected bidding war followed thanks to ongoing nostalgia for the short-lived series.
According to listing agent Danny Brown at Compass, the buyer will not only get a home thats part of TV history, but some “curated furnishings and accessories,” including a replica horse statue seen in the series.
